The Challenge 

With the continuing industrialization, energy transition, and growing amount of electronic devices, batteries are becoming increasingly important. But there is no good way to recycle them yet on a large enough scale to serve the full market.

The Solution

Recycling batteries is hard and dangerous. Even the storage of them is dangerous, as they can explode and set the rest of the waste on fire. To make this process saver we are developing a battery shredder together with many partners. The next step in our challenge is to get an even bigger partner network that wants to work together in our next project in which we will extract cobalt and lithium from the shredder residual and create the first dutch battery recycling company on an industrial scale!

The Mission

At Team CORE it is our mission to bring the amount of waste to zero. We believe that all waste can be recycled. Being an ambitious and determined, we contribute to the development of a new sustainable, circular economy for the generations to come, limiting the impact on man and nature.
