The Challenge 

Last Mile deliveries (from distribution centre to the customer) are inefficient and cause annoyances for the customers. Some of the situations that create such annoyances are: 1. Not knowing when the delivery driver will arrive (only time estimates, no exact time) 2. The delivery driver coming during the middle of the day, when most people are at work 3.Having to wait for the driver in said time estimates 4. No one is at home to pick up the package, which sometimes results in a neighbour picking it up, you only receive a piece of paper from PostNL, for example 5. Pick-up points being very far from home, having to spend time to go to said pick up points which might be far away 6. Sometimes, in some countries, packages are left at the front of your door, at risk of being stolen

A smart parcel box available for every household with the goal of making package deliveries pleasant, safer, cheaper and more efficient
