Yesterday, the first kick off meeting of the TU/e Contest took place. The TU/e innovation Space was almost too small for the turn out!
The first meet with all of the participants was a success! Isabelle Reymenn (Scientific Director TU/e innovation Space) introduced the TU/e innovation Space to the participants and Bert-Jan Woertman (Commercial Director) inspired them with an amazing presentation about entrepreneurs and the possibilities in and near Eindhoven.
After that, there was a surprise for everybody. All the participants were challenged to present us with a one-minute pitch about their project, with no time to prepare! Admirably, everyone stood up and they even formed a queue to pitch! The enthusiasm among all who attended was high and after every pitch there was a loud applause.

During the kick off meeting all students were informed that the top 40 projects would be announced the day after. So here it is!
Top 40
In total, almost 350 students created an account on our platform. 120 projects registered for the fourth edition of the TU/e Contest and 72 projects made it through the first round and their profiles appeared on the website.
40 of these projects made the next round and will be preparing themselves for the speed dates and training days to increase their chance of a spot in the final event.
During the past few weeks, our partners have been coaching the student very actively. 340 chats were started and it’s still going on. The high involvement of both parties has led to a great result and foundation for the speed dates on the 3rd of April.
We would like to congratulate all of you and wish you good luck!
Students who don’t see their project in the top 40, don’t worry because you can still participate in all the workshops and chat with our partners which will help your project develop further. We hope to see you again in the next edition of the TU/e Contest!
